1. Germany-Bucharest-Ramnicu Valcea

Arrival at Bucharest airport, reception by the tour guide and transfer to the capital of Romania. After the first part of the city tour in Bucharest, you continue to Ramnicul Valcea. Overnight in Ramnicu Valcea.

2. Ramnicul Valcea-Sibiu
Morning drive to Sibiu. This city is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Transylvania. Founded at the end of the 12th century by the German colonists, later called Transylvanian Saxons, Sibiu was one of the most important trading cities in Transylvania. Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture in 2007 and a large part of the old town was renovated for the occasion. The tour takes you to the Great and Small Ring. Over the Bridge of lies you reach the evangelical parish church and then the orthodox cathedral (one of the largest in Transylvania). In the free time that follows, you can discover other beautiful corners yourself. In the first hours of the afternoon you drive to the Village Museum, the largest open-air museum in Romania. During the individual walk you will learn a lot about rural life in Romania. Then continue to Sibiel, a small Romanian village near Sibiu. Here you are invited to a typical Romanian meal with schnapps and wine with a farming family. Overnight in Bazna.

3.Sibiu - Seica Mare - Seica Mica - Agarbiciu - Medias-Bazna (hike approx. 4.5 hours)
Transylvania is also known because the Saxons built huge fortified churches here, real fortifications. You will get to know some of them better in the next few days. You can also discover the wonderful landscape on easy to moderately difficult and relaxing hikes. After breakfast, departure by bus to the municipality of Seica Mare. Here you will visit the fortified church of the parish. The towerless, Romanesque church of St. Martin from Seica Mare was built around 1300. In the 16th century it was transformed into a defense structure by building a defensive floor. From here the hike to Seica Mica begins, a hike that will take about 1.5 hours. When you arrive in Seica Mica, you will also visit the local fortified church here. Then the second hike to Agarbiciu begins. The hike takes about 3 hours and leads through a beautiful landscape. Once in Agarbiciu, take the bus to the place of the overnight stay. Dinner and overnight in Bazna.

4. Bazna - Valea Viilor - Soala - Motis - Bazna (hike approx. 5.5 hours)
In the morning you drive to Valea Viilor (wormhole). You start the day with a tour of the local fortified church. It is one of the largest fortified churches in Transylvania. The first of today's two hikes in the direction of Soala (duration about 1.5 hours) begins here. Here you will visit the fortified church. Inside there is also a small local history museum, where traditional Saxon clothing and household appliances are on display. Lunch break in the former rectory. The second hike leads to Motis , a longer hike (approx. 4 hours) but a very scenic hike. When you arrive in Motis, you will also visit the local Saxon fortified church from the 15th century. Return to Medias. Dinner and overnight.

5. Bazna - Ighisu Nou - Mosna - Nemsa - Bazna (hike approx. 4 hours)
After breakfast, take the bus to Ighisu Nou . Visit to the German fortified church that was built between the 14th and 15th centuries. Then we continue on foot to Mosna (about 2.5 hours). The fortified church is one of the most beautiful in Transylvania. The church has a remarkable architectural sculpture, in particular the vestments of the sacristy door and a very high sacrament house, which is said to be the work of a son of the famous Veit Stoss. Here, too, you will have your lunch break in the rectory. Hike (about 1.5 hours) to Nemsa. The fortified church (14th-16th century) has a free-standing neo-Gothic bell tower, which was built in 1869. Return by bus to Bazna. Dinner and overnight.

6. Bazna - Atel - Richis - Biertan - Bazna (hike approx. 2.5 hours)
After breakfast you take the bus to Atel. Even if the interior of the two former defensive walls and the north tower are no longer there, a visit to the fortified church is very interesting. From here the hike to Richis (about 2.5 hours) begins. Construction began here in the 14th century and only ended in the 16th century. This is followed by Biertan, the largest fortified church in Transylvania. Three rows of defensive walls surround the former seat of the Protestant bishops of Transylvania. You will visit the largest winged altar in Transylvania and also a very interesting sacristy door. From here return by bus to Bazna. Dinner and overnight.
